Computer Printer Problem

Recently my desktop started wanting to 'save file as *xps' when I ask it to print something. When I cancel that or click save it tells me that 'an unknown error occurred while printing'.

Going into my computer I find that I have a Microsoft XPS Document Writer as well as a Printer. I thought that I would ask what to do with this before I start deleting stuff. All I know is that nothing prints.

I could use some help with this.:)

Go to control panel then printers and faxes. Right click on your real printer and select "set printer as default"

You can try deleting the xps writer, but it will more than likely come back.
The xps writer is microsofts attack on adobe PDF's.

Wow! Look at you!

My printer was already set as default but deleting the other made my printer work. I can't thank you enough. In the next 24 hours I'll shoot you about a bazillion points and a thanks.:)
