Shouldn't "HD-DVDs" be replaced with something else?

The mods are still in denial about the outcome of the HD-DVD/Blueray war.

In fact most of them still have their collection of metamax tapes lying around.
They never renamed the "super8, betamax, and Film Splicing" topic either just deleted it when it was no longer applicable.

I assumed HD-DVD's just meant HD-DVD and BR disks, since both are technically high definition DVD's.

Actually they are both high density. HD actually stands for high density meaning a greater amount of data can be stored in a smaller area.

So am I. My HD-A2 has been in standby mode, ready to go, well after about 60 seconds or so, for months now.

I still use mine a lot. I have to start to watch Heroes Season 1 in HD-DVD. That should keep me occupied for a while.

The title is not going to change, I wonder if they're waiting for blu to die, to replace it with:
Movies, DVDs, Netflixs & Theatricks
