I think I'll give your settings a go sometime, or at least the brightness. The other settings seem similar, but my brightness is much different, so perhaps I can try to put some more on there.

Brightness up to 50, and wow... just wow... yeah. Love it. LOVE IT.

When I calibrated my brother's 42PZ85U with Avia, these were the settings I ended up with: Settings
A couple of suggestions....

I originally put my set on this calibration...it was better than the factory setting. But sets and ambient lighting situations differ. Actually calibrating your own is definitely the way to go. I had the good fortune of having our own Majorloser recently calibrate our Panny in situ. The improvement was astounding.

Also, please remember to write down or photograph your settings, so that when you want to make changes or get a power-down default reset, you know what to change the settings back to.

Isn't it fun when you get that nice 3-D type image coming at you?! :)

I agree Tomorrow.

Every situation is different. I calibrated in a medium ambient light situation. My brother has a large bay window facing west. It was dusk so there was some light. If it was in a completely darkened room (like I calibrate my sets) I am sure it would have been a bit lower (i.e. 40 or so for brightness). I always remember that not everyone likes their television set up in an ideal situation as they are simply not used to it. I usually come to a very modest compromise for them.

I calibrated a set for my wife's friends (TH-50PX60U barely any compensation done here). They called her a few days later and said it was so much better and they were really happy. This was coming from non-enthusiast types!!! It was great news to hear!

I make everyone I calibrate for write the settings down & keep them in a safe place. It is a great best practice. Though it may cost me in revenue ;) :D
