Need Hockey Pucks...

Didn't know the best thread for this:

Anyone know where I can find hockey pucks cheap?
I plan on using them to brace the inside of a speaker cabinet.

The best I've found so far has been $1.25 each, but with $4.00 (each) for shipping!
Local sporting goods stores are ridiculous, and can't find any at Wal-Mart.

Hockey pucks to brace a speaker cabinet? That sounds interesting. They are rather dense and heavy, so shipping won't be cheap, but $4.00 still seems a bit high. Do you have a Play It Again Sports in your area?

I bought 4 of the this weekend to try and use as sub feet but my sub wals off of them. They are free but you would have to pay shipping.

You are in NJ man, there has to be a rink around there somewhere!! Go get some used ones.

Try a local rink or look for a hockey store.I bought 6 pucks for my son at the local rink here for $1 a piece.

Hi Jamie,
I have 1/2 thick piece of All-Thread or threaded rod left over from a job.

I'm going to use a sleeve nut, and join two pieces of rod, and make a home made turnbuckle.
Then I'll drill a shallow hole in each puck, just enough to hold the all-thread in place.
Not sure yet if I'll glue the pucks to the inside of the cabinet first, or just let the pressure as I spread open the all-thread hold them in place.
