If I had use for another one I'd be all over it. I can't imagine not having one now.

Once again, procrastination has paid off for me. I meant to order one 3 weeks ago but waiting until today saved me a lot of money. I felt so good about saving the money that I paid for 2 day shipping vs. the free standard shipping.

You might want to consider a receiver with Audyssey EQ. It corrects frequency response and in the time domain. You have to hear one to see how it really clears up the sound clarity, especially the bass. It is what comes after parametric EQ and there is a big thread on AVS forum on it.

I have one but you are never going to get your sub flat at 12hz using an AVR....

So are you getting rid of the DCX2496 and replacing it with the SMS? If so why?

I sent the DCX back about 3 weeks ago. It is just too difficult to set up and jack around with unless it is hooked up to a computer. My laptop belongs to my company so I can't dowload programs(REW) onto it. I was just looking for a simple solution and for this price, this may work out.
