Went 180 degrees and I'm not going the DIY route. Too many variables for me to deal with and no warranty. I think I'm going to be more than happy with either but I've made my decision.;)

You're ordering my B&W ASW1000? Sweet. Shipping will be quite reasonable. :D

EDIT: Ahh, I was on the phone and didn't notice it was a poll. I see the two choices now.

Matt, what happened to the Bose unit-just kidding!!!!!! :D:D Actually, I have a feeling you will order an Ultra 13. Can't say I blame you on that one. Sure wish I could. Just glad you finally gave up on ordering that Bose sub.........Lmao!!!!!

Cheers,

Phil

Thought about voting for the Conquest, but I went with the 13 because I'm pretty sure every Epic product is still on back order:)

Was faced with this very choice just before getting Ultra #1 a little over a year ago. It is a superb subwoofer.

I voted for the Conquest. The SVS is too mainstream for Matt.

I don't get it. The warranty is on the amp and you are not going to blow the driver (I have tried). Plus the money you save will easily replace one driver if needed.

Just reading between the lines here but I think Matt will go with the Ultra. If he is concerned about warranty and other issues, than you better buy SVS;).

True, but I don't have a builder here that has proven reliable. I haven't heard back from the one I found on craigslist since the inital quote and the other guy I've talk to is asking way too much ($350 just for a sealed, unfinished MDF enclosure) Having to hire out the enclosure build really starts to dig into the DIY benefits.
