Yeah - because then the story would have been about Vanilla Ice at the inauguration party...that would have been far worse.

I liked Dennis Miller's take that the rappers actions were essentially irrelevant and a side note, and also that Obama would replace them as a more prominent and fitting role model.

I don't see how the video was negative to Obama at all.

Worst case, it's a minor embarrassment to Obama that a couple of idiots are on his side.

I've said it before; I'm happy we elected a black President, but my reason for voting for him had absolutely nothing to do with the color of his skin.

IMO the sooner every one gets past the point that Obama is is black, the more effective he'll be as a President.

People too often confuse supporters of someone with that someone. Just because someone supports Obama, that does not mean that Obama endorses everything (or anything) that comes out of that person's mouth.

I remember on election night that when McCain gave a mostly very gracious concession speech, many of his supporters in the audience booed some of what he had to say about working with the new president. So there being supporters of Obama who don't want to go along with Obama's ideas about working together isn't anything unique to Democrats.

People are racist for thinking black people can't be racist.

I voted for Obama and I found it absolutely amazing to see the blind side that people have turned to the obvious racism some people, including blacks, have shown after this election.

The truth is, and I think this is what unreal.freak was pointing out, is that white people aren't any more racist than blacks, and that some of the hateful comments towards whites needs to stop.

Again, I voted for Obama, but I'm very disappointed in the reaction and comments of some of his supporters, and like they said in the video, I bet Obama is too.
