Crystal Acoustics

Does anyone know anything about crystal acoustics? I was searching amazon looking at speakers and they popped up. Most of their systems are THX certified that I found. I don't really know what THX certification says about a speaker system other than apparently George Lucas' company approves of them. Does this mean they're better suited to home theater than music? Or better suited to home theater than other speakers that aren't thx certified? I know Klipsch's top line is the THX certified one.

IMHO, I think the THX cert thing is extremely over the top over-rated. To me its a gimmick for the general public to buy a product.

As for Crystal Acoustics, I've never ever heard of them and I did A LOT of research over the span of almost 2 years before I bought my speakers and never onced ran into any information about Crystal Acoustics. I am not saying they are not legit but for the price they are asking....I look elsewhere. Better to be safe than sorry.....Plus resale value is always much higher trying to sell a brand that people are already fimilar with.

Went back and google them and found reviews on them. I guess these speakers are not on a lot of people's mind as other brands:

Thanks for the links, I'm still wondering about how much thx certification matters, and How large of a sub I need to produce the sound in the 15-20 hertz range where I mostly feel it. The idea of feeling the pressure wave from an explosion in a movie really sounds cool.

And I'd never heard of velodyne before I googled them and they seem to get decent reviews any idea where I could hear them?

Yeah I'm curious about that too. I mean I'm not crazy enough to think that these crystal acoustic speakers will have the same sound quality just as B&W they just happen to be in a price range that I can afford. So why better value?
