Hey folks, I've never once played with a mount. My PJ is currently on top of a bookshelf, and it works perfectly fine. OTOH, I think I may get a little better rear audio without the bookshelf position, cleaner look, and perhaps most importantly, get an extendable pipe to increase/decrease my retroreflective gain, in accordance with the life of my bulb.
Is there a mount that can have a pipe that is easily retractable, yet easily maintain a perfectly perpendicular orientation to screen? Or is it that every time I retract pipe, I have to carefully re-orient this perpendicular orientation?
I've been told their might be a "mount builder" at PJ central, but haven't found it yet. Any and all recs are welcome, and I do see that Chief seems to be a popular choice.
I don't have a set budget, but I know what a typical one costs. I really would enjoy being able to retract pipe easily, at any time, without having to readjust perpendicular throw adjustment to screen. Ok, I know I will have to play with vertical shift of PJ, but that's pretty darn easy.
THANKS!
