Technical Problem, Need Help!! PLZ

Hello, I had baught a receiver from a friend awhile ago not sure of the brand name or model currently not at home for the moment but I will post it when I get home. I have 2 12" pioneer car subs hooked up to an car amp which is powered by a pyramid power supply. The subwoofer out from the receciver is connected to the amp via rca cable which is a mono to dual rca plug. Now for some reason which I cannot figure out at all the subwoofer out from the receciver will not pump out any lows to the amplifier. Now it is an old receiver and Im thinking of getting a new one but I thought I'd ask if anyone had any solutions. Also if anyone can recommend a good reviewed 7.1 1080p hdmi receiver for around 2-500$ that would be great. Thanks alot!!

May be your car subs won't produce lows, in a living space? A lot won't, they need the gain afforded by the small space of a car.

Hey, thank you very much for your reply!! But it is very strange becuase they were working before I re-arranged my living room. I know some people will say to check your connections because I just re-arranged and there could be something wrong with connections but everything is good I am certain because I have check them a million and one x. Thanks, GUYS!!

Hey sat23,

I would agree with TLs's advice if it had never worked before.
But since it worked before you rearranged the living room and now it doesn't work, connections are highly suspect. Also, recheck the settings on you receiver. Believe it or not, I have seen simple problems caused by accidently pushing buttons on a receiver when picking it up to move.

P.s. - sometimes the 1,000,002 time is the one that fixes the problem

Thanks midcow2......I will definately check my settings because it is very strange why it is not working now. I will also post my receiver specs when I get home from work around noonish incase it does not work. Thanks again, and any other suggestions would be great!!
