Adolph's heydays

I hope that you can find it. They don't ship it to all states.
LOL reminds me of Adolph's heydays, when his banquet beer had limited distribution.

Woah! Streaking was also in back then

Bring me anither Coors Light!

Well, I found an amazing beer. I had to have it shipped from the west coast, but it was worth it.

Russian River Company's Pliny the Elder. A great IPA. Strongly recommended.

Adam, I got some Houblon Chouffe Dobbelen IPA Tripel that I opened a couple nights ago. It was great beer no question. Not exactly the recommendation you made, but I will be trying their golden ale soon as well!

In the mean time I started brewing. I have made a 5 gallon batch of an English style IPA that is gone and went over well with those who tried it. Currently, I have an Apfelwein and a clone of Dogfish Head's 60 minute IPA fermenting away. Soon to be making beer from all grain (rather than previously concentrated extracts). I will be making a Mead this Wednesday and trying my hand at wine again shortly!

Yes this is all jinjuku fault :).

A picture of fermentation that has just begun:

Ahhhh, a fine thread to resurrect. Thanks, Andrew!

I got a six pack of Breckenridge Brewery's Agave Wheat. Mmmm, mmmm, tasty. Makes me feel kinda stupid that I didn't go to the local Breckenridge Brewery before it went out of business. Oh, well. The sixer was great.

OMG!!! Finally a post on here I know something about.

Really though, only one per season? No way.

After checking my beer bottle collection I have made up my mind. My favorite winter beerS would have to be Duck Rabbit Milk Stout, Fort Collins Double Chocolate Stout or Siberian Night Imperial Stout. My favorite summer is between Sam Adams Summer Ale, Stone Ruination IPA or Sheltowee IPA Hop-A-Lot IPA(Brutally hoppy).

All year round would have to be Browning's Bourbon Barrel Stout(RIP). It's a Kentucky beer lovers dream come true. Bourbon + Stout = Absolute bliss........

....now excuse me, I have to make a run to the liquor store.

I guess it must be O'Dell's IPA. I have a keg of it in my basement.

Can't pick just one. Depending on my mood I will have a different beer. Currently, I have these in stock:

  • 2x Dogfish Head -120 Minute IPA
  • Piraat Ale
  • Avery Brewing Co. - Beast Grand Cru Ale 2007 vintage
  • Brasserie des Rocs - Brune Belgian Brown Ale
  • Boulevard - Double-Wide IPA
  • Dogfish Head - Fort fruit ale
  • Bear Republic - Hop Rod Rye
  • Port Brewing - Hop-15 Ale DIPA
  • North Coast Brewing Co. - Old Stock Ale 2004 vintage
  • Port Brewing - Old Viscosity
  • Real Ale Brewing Co. - Sisyphus barley wine
  • Silver City Brewing Co. - WhoopPass DIPA
Last commercial beer I drank was Russian River Brewing Co. - Pliny the Elder.

Additionally, I have about 4-5 bottles left of the English IPA I brewed a few months ago, 5.5 gallons of a German cider I just bottled yesterday and 5.5 gallons of a Dogfish Head 60 minute clone that will be dry hopped soon.

So I guess I just like beer.

I brew a version of Newcastle that is modified into a porter. That would be a favorite.

If it is from a brewer, then Spaten Optimator.

There is a place in Austin that sells it by the bottle. I don't even remember how much I paid... next time I am around Austin I will be there and can look for a bottle or two if you want they are the 11.2 oz traditional Belgian sized bottle. The place is awesome. They have a beer cellar and release beers at varying points of aging. That's where I got the 2007 Beast Grand Cru Ale and the 2004 Old Stock Ale.

Ohh, I also forgot I have 2.5 gallons of orange cinnamon mead going too. The fiancee requested it.

The Dogfish Head 120 is just CRUEL
I've had these in the local bar. With 20% alcohol they don't let these get served to anybody who walks in.

My wife likes the Ommegang Abbey Ale.
I like their Rare Vos.

It's an amber ale similar to one of my favorites style of Belgiun ales, the dubbels.

Chimay Premiere (red) is another excellent example

Another favorite is Afflingem Dubbel

When it come to tripels and quads I like Chimay Grande Reserve

And a new favorite quad, Koningshoeven

(I guess you can tell I like Trappist ales)

I really like Gulden Drak for a Belgian. IIRC, it's a Trippel. It has mild fruity overtones and a bottle of it will knock you on your a**.

I'm drinking Warsteiner Dunkel at the moment.
