Still photos on a BD35 BluRay

I put a CD with jpegs in for the first time and they showed up on the TV as they should. I then found I needed to add some commands to my 890 remote to navigate through the photo albums. I made the changes to my remote and today I tried the CD again, but the photos don't come up on the TV. It has nothing to do with the remote. When the CD loads, the photos should show up. TV viewing still works fine, DVD viewing still works fine. I've tried other photo CD's too, they don't work either. The CD that worked the other day should work now. I didn't change any settings. STUMPED!

Seriously, I have no life.

Does it come up with the Panny remote? Which did you use when it did come up before?

Neither remote will make the photos display, but I don't think it's a remote issue. The manual for the BluRay says insert a disc, press up/down arrows to select Picture Navigator, press OK, press up/down arrows to select Pictures, press OK.

That assumes you have all of this displaying so you can select the options.

When you first insert a disc, it should read it and display something. No remote needed. The BluRay shows it goes through a READ cycle, then it shows CD, then it stops and no display.

Panasonic doesn't have any user forums and I can't find any forums that really deal with troubleshooting a dvd.

I'm wondering if, while programming the other remote, you set it's default action for photo discs to something else. I'm downloading the manual to even see if that's possible on your unit. I know that I can do that on my Panasonic DVD player.

I'll let you know what I find.

BTW, what happens when you put in the CD with the JPEG files?

I'm guessing that you read this, but if not, the manual states the following on page 22:
CD-R/RW, SD card
To switch from other menus to JPEG menu
(If the media contains data in different file formats)
1) Press [FUNCTIONS].
2) Press [3, 4] to select “Menu” and press [OK].
3) Press [3, 4] to select “Pictures”/“Picture (JPEG) Navigator” and
press [OK].

Perhaps that might get you to the menu to view your pictures?

I haven't found it in your manual, but my Panasonic DVD player allows me to choose what action the player will take when I insert a disc with pictures files, music files, or a combination of the two.

Problem solved. In making updates to the remote, I removed the receiver. I had manually turned on the receiver and the photos didn't appear so I thought I was having some other issue. Not sure why it works this way, but the receiver has to be on when the disc is loaded to make the photos appear. Turning it on later doesn't seem to take effect. I now have the receiver back in my settings.
Thanks to all who took the time to help.
