I can deal with the drop outs when watching tv, however it gets frustrating when your watching football and you miss a TD catch. But what angers me the most is when playing a Call of Duty on the PS3, the signal drops out and then someone kills me.

I can deal with the drop outs when watching tv, however it gets frustrating when your watching football and you miss a TD catch. But what angers me the most is when playing a Call of Duty on the PS3, the signal drops out and then someone kills me.

My signal issues went away around the early part of this year. One of the firmware upgrades around Feb or March seems to have elliminated the problem. I never did get a satisfactory answer from Denon on this. They made me replace my HDMI cables, reset the receiver more than once (losing all my settings), and so on, to no avail. PITA! Then one day... poof, problem solved.

The one persistent problem I still have is that the GUI sometimes stops working, and then mysteriously comes back a day or two later after a power reset. Not a huge issue, but a nuisance.

What would you do in the 3808 setup when hooking up a blu-ray with hdmi so the video runs through the denon unaltered? The player has better video processing then the 3808 but not better audio.
