PC12-NSD's Dual Subs?
Hi everyone,
I hope you don't mind me jakking this thread but I have just joined & dont seem to have permissions to start a new thread? BUT.... I currently have a BK Electronics Monolith Sub, which is very good but as it is so large it is set over towards the LS speakers- Set up is Pan PZ81 46" with B&W CTR, 685 Mains & 686 satellites, pana blue ray, PS3, Onkyo 876 Amp & this big..very big Monolith. I have been speaking to a great & VERY helpful guy named Jan at SVS over email as I'm thinking (My wife will kill me with the expense as the 3rd swap of subs if I go ahead) of putting 2 PC12 NSD's either side of the TV.
In your experience ( i'm hoping I already know the answer but) will I notice a massive difference in tightness of Bass & very deep bone tingling sensation opposed to the one Monolith?
I am also using the BK Antimode which has helped a bit with tightness but the bass is just too one sided. I can't put it next to the TV as it sits abo ve the bottom line of the screen & looks pants as trying to make it minimalistic as poossible, hence the cylindrical subs.
Is my logic sound & will it be worth the expense do you think? My aims are crushing theatre film experience as well as getting a smooth bass sound for films as well as music of which my tastes are as varied from classical to heavy dance/reggae!
Any input or feedback before I part with hard earned cash for what I hope will be my last sub buyin search of near perfection (within my budget). I know ill have to upgrade the bluray at some point or get a much better CD player but thats another issue (thinking of the sony E5000 BTW but no cash after this).
Thanks for your time & hopeful help on this guys!
