Ok so my wife and I just moved into our new dream house! I now have a huge basement with 9 ft ceilings. The problem is figuring how to lay the basement out. I'll take pictures this weekend and post them. basically the basement is shaped like a L. Does anyone know of a professional in the Downingtown Pa area? I'd like to use the space for a theater, gym, and maybe a bar.

Maybe a bar? Maybe?!? Geese, I almost spit out my beer when I read that.

:D J/K! Congrats on the new house, btw! I look forward to seeing your pictures and reading about how the plans come together.

My basement is L-shaped (kinda). I only wish I had 9 ft ceilings. Here is how I laid mine out:

Here's my build thread if you want to see how it looks at the end.

Thanks Mperfect for posting the your layout. That's what I need Ideas. I'll try to take pics tonight when I get home, working overtime to pay for the basement lol.

Good luck, bro! I think my wife were expecting around $15k, but it ended up costing us around $45k, including all the furniture and electronics. Although we finished 1250 sq ft, $45k is still a lot, especially when you just pay cash/0% intro rates on credit cards (those might be a bit tougher to get these days). Late in the process we were wishing we would have done a HELOC, but now that almost everything is paid off, I'm glad we did it the way we did. Cash is still king.

We did get two bids before we started, both were over $70k.

Oh the pictures of the tv and the set up are old, that from the old place (townhouse). I still have the same gear though, except for the tv I think
