These ugly little things should arrive on Wed. No idea where I will put them as I have no room left in my credenza and I don't think the mount tabs are removable so they will look bad no matter what.

Look at the top piece more closely- the ears end a few inches back from the bend. I'm not sure about the amp, though, but they may come off, too. If you have the width in the cabinet, you could make a set of "sides" for them to conceal the ears.

Yes, the rack tabs come off the DCX but not the map. I sent the DCX back and the amp is tucked away where the tabs are not an issue.
