Just pulled the trigger on a B-Stock PB10-NSD

I've been debating on which sub to get to replace my Dayton 12" in my bedroom and decided that if I happen to come up on a b stock PB10 in the near future I would go ahead and get it. Well I have been keeping a close eye on the b stock page and checking it a couple times a day and just found one. I'm sure it will be severe overkill given the size of my bedroom, but headroom is always a good thing, and if one day this sytem gets moved to a larger room I know I will be ok. So now the wait begins and as soon as I get the tracking number I know I will be obsessed with checking it constantly.

The Dayton will get moved to another room and will eventually get paired up with some inexpensive tower or bookshelf speakers as soon as I get some money up for those.

I believe the SVS that you have purchased has a deeper, flatter frequency response than the Dayton it is replacing, so you will be getting deeper sounds at closer to the right level than you did before. I do not regard that as overkill. If you ever listen to music with deep notes on a pipe organ, it will make a significant difference. I don't think there is a less expensive ready-made subwoofer that can match that SVS for depth of bass. And if there is, someone should point it out and recommend it to people looking for a budget subwoofer.

What I meant by overkill is that it is capable of much more output than the dayton 12. I still regard the dayton as one of the best subs you can get for it's price range, but I know the SVS will crap all over it in every other respect.

You won't be disapointed.

If nothing else its worth the look on the UPS man's face as he tries to lift the box off the truck.;)

Yeah, I know right... when my Def Tech 7001SC towers came, my girlfriend had to assist the UPS woman get the boxes off the truck since they weighed 130 lbs. each hahaha... I wish I could have been there to see that. I'm sure I won't even be home when UPS comes by, so I probably won't get to see that look.

Trust me if the look is anything like the one my GF had when my NSD 12/2 arrived, be glad your not home. Actually when I upgraded my drivers I had two 12" ISD left over and another sub with dual 12's being used in my bedroom, so I took out those drivers and put in the two 12" SVS's and man oh man does my bedroom setup get nice tight clean bass and no it's not overwhelming once calibrated. Think you'll like the upgrade.

I also have DT BP7001sc with my SVS NSD 12/2 and feel even though the DT's get pretty low in the bass catagory, it's nothing compared to the SVS.

When I ordered my they shipped it with a "require signature."
So make sure somebody is home.

Well my girlfirend lives with me and she works 3rd shift so she's home during the day, and I'm home all night, so when I get the tracking number, I'll be sure to let her know what day to expect it to be here so she can sign for it.
