VERY impressive facility indeed, and there is no doubt that their manufacturing process is top notch all the way....

Too cool...Thanks for the link...

JL plant very nice !

Check out the below link of the pics of a tour of the JL facility and I think you will understand, as well as be very impressed... be sure to read all the captions as well.

After seeing that, I really want a Gotham.
GlocksRock,

Thanks for sharing that was truly impressive. However, my "CEO" said that I WILL be happy for a long time with my new PB12-Plus. I have always drooled over the Fathom and the Gotham is even more impressive.

Gotta go an work on my business plan for a Salamander MA7002 and a PRO-151FD. The first cut came back postive ;)

Yeah, I too am going to have to be happy with my 20-39PC+ for a while to come. I still can't believe that they have to replace a $200 drill bit for every single gotham produced  I have 2 JL 12W6V2 subs in my car that I love very much, they are know to be one of the most accurate subs made.

Honestly it was not too long after that tour was posted there and over at AVS which brought me to the conclusion I should try out an F112, one of the best purchases I have ever made, it really made me appreciate all the hard work and efforts that went into that facility, and why they charge what they do for their subs. Yes they are expensive, but truly exceptional in SQ and output.

It has made me truly think about doing my own F212 with a pair of 12w7's, in a cabinet something like this http://img159.imageshack.us/img159/8361/49vw.jpg

The F112 hands down has the best upperbass clarity of any sub I have ever heard thus far, and the output of this tiny little 12" powerhouse still to this day astonishes me.

Most of my car sound is from Invidia (S2000) or Tanabe (IS300) or Borla (Accord) :D But I bet a good JL in a car would be awesome.

Thanks again for sharing! but you have gotta admit SVS ain't too bad either ;)

Cruise on!

No, the SVS isn't bad at all... which is why I ordered a PB10-NSD to replace the Dayton sub in my bedroom... and my 2 ported W6s in the civic aren't too shabby either.

No, not bad at all. And the logical alternative for those of us that can't afford $3,000 subs. :)

I can't believe they said one guy ordered four Gothams to be used in one room.

Seriously when the medical examiner does the guys autopsy they're gonna find the guys lungs just imploded from the inside out from the pressure.

Man i need to win the powerball. :(

I am using a single 12W7 sealed with a Behringer EP2500. It is amazingly articulate yet brutal when necessary. I don't even have an EQ on it yet to fully realize its capability. :)

I was shocked to see that they use a different sub for the gotham than they do the fathom... and all along I thought both of them just used a W7. JL really does put a lot of r&d into their products.

The W7 has, I believe, 7 patents or patens pending on it alone. Jl is very much into R&D.

Lucio Proni is a great engineer/speaker designer.

AVS forum is blocked from my work, and I rarely go on it when I am at home... Also not everyone here visits AVS forum, so I thought it would be nice to post it here.

One gotham for each channel? It sounds like that guy has more money than brains, but it would be kinda cool.
