I saw those too and was wondering how good they are. I'm in the market for some really inexpensive towers, or bookshelf speakers, but I really want to keep it to no more than $150 shipped. I should have jumped on the R50 deal they had recently.

I use Infinity Beta 20s on 2 Sanus 25" basic foundation stands.

You could probably win a couple for under 150 direct from infinity on ebay. The reason they are selling so cheap is because they are bit heavy and bulky for a bookshelf. I definitely suggest adding the stands to them though. But you can angle them up until you raise the funds.

I would be willing to bet the beta 20s out perform those towers, but some people like to have bigger speakers. I got both mine local for 125.

They really won't be used very much, and I already have nice def tech's for my main listening area, so I really want to keep the costs down as much as possible. When I said $150 for everything, I meant speaker stands included.

The JBL stages are not bad. I think the Primuses have a better bass presence. I didn't think the stages were ridiculously bright (unlike say *cough* Polks). I'd definitely take the Balboa's over the R50's.
