Cheers for the kind comments guys.

Today I cleaned up my wiring mess up a bit and played with speaker placement. I didn't go too heavy on the zip-ties because then its a pain to move stuff around.

No one was home so I took the chance to crawl around on the floor. ;)

Front and center seems to be the best tentitively, and it seems to be far enough back where I won't kick it by accident.

Eventually, I'll probably pickup some treatments for the front and rear walls in here, along with a bass trap for the side corner.

Nice system...

...but the green grass, palms, and harbor kinda makes me sick.

Climate jealousy has that effect on me:p

Thanks man!

I like a wide range of music, from the blues to house to classical. I mix mostly deep dubstep, which is a halftime bass music..the stuff I play is fairly loungey and not floor filler stuff...more about the getting ready and coming down of a night out...difficult to describe... Here is my last studio mix if you are curious:

(right click, save as, it's a mix so its one big long mp3)

uhhhh.......thats sick dude. I just got a pair of Grado SR60 headphones yesterday and thats great test material. I can't wait to listen to it in the theater. Whats the highest bit rate you could get that mix. A good friend of mine spins lounge/hip-hop/D&B, he's heavy on scratching. I'm personally into mostly lounge (Fragile State, King Kuba, Fila Brazillia, Thievery Corp., Basement Jaxx, Groove Armada, Language Lab, Blue Tonic World. etc.) or pretty much anything on somafm.com.

Glad you enjoyed it! For sure try it in your theater, great for testing subwoofers. Friday I played on 8 2x12" Bag End subwoofers with JBL tops and mids.

Its a 320 mp3 (original sources were mostly vinyl). Next studio mix I might do a FLAC rendering also. I'm just used to mp3s because everyone can play them and my portable recorder renders mp3s (normally I record sets away from home from connecting to the record out on most mixers, whereas that one was recorded with the gear pictured).

My rack base, side panels and screws came in today and are sitting in the stock room at work. Been very busy this week so I probably won't get to start on the rack until Saturday or Sunday, but, at least most the parts are here!

Need to go pickup an Apple TV when I get a chance, or maybe I'll just order one from Apple online.

I like the M&Ks. I just picked some up today for a real bargain, 2 S 85s and a S 85C along with a MX-125 Mark II push pull subwoofer all for $179.

Those are AWESOME deals! Most speakers are crap, minus a few....

I've never had nothing but good experiences with M&K speakers, truely top notch stuff. I guess they are out of business now, but, the old stuff is still gold. I got offered over what I paid for my S-150s and turned it down. I could have sold them, but I wouldn't know what to replace it with that I liked more.

I can't stress the Bag End speakers enough though, zero listener fatigue and the best imagining I have ever heard out of a speaker set. It's actually creepy. If there is a Audioholics meet this year in Florida I wouldn't mind bringing my PM6 Bag Ends for people to hear.

Seth, when you get them setup let me know what you think!

I'm using a pair of the S 85s with the computer along with the Paradigm PS-1000 from my living room. The MX-125 is now the subwoofer for the home theater and I decided to use the remaining S 85C for my center. All in all I am quite pleased with what I am hearing all together. It's all probably still below the standard of the Studio 100s, but still very good.

Haha, thanks man I'm tryin'. Yeah all I gotta support is me and I dump the rest in savings, no wife or kids. Need more time to enjoy it though, been so busy lately its dark everytime I'm home. Guess that's good though.

Yeah, its got PCM3. I like it way better than the old one, touch screen makes putting in a destination a lot easier. PDCC is my favorite, the only option I wish I would have gotten was the iPod connection, but since PCM3 was so new my dealer didn't even know iPod was an option.

I've been looking at the 911s with PDK, how has the response on those been?

...

Took some parts for the rack home today, they forgot the screws  but I doubt that will take long to get plus I won't have time for a bit to start wiring.
