Help needed with Surround Sound

I have a Onkyo TX-SR604 I have had for a couple of years and just got a Sony Blu Ray BDR-S350. I have input through the HDMI from the Blu Ray to the Receiver. Everything works great except for the audio when I play A Blu-Ray DVD that has 5.1 Dolby Tru-HD. All other DVD's, the audio is great. I realize the Onkyo TX-SR604 will not decode the Tru-HD audio however I assumed it would revert back to Dolby Digital Surround. Any thoughts?

When playing an audio format that your receiver does not support, the player must be set to output an audio format that the receiver does support.

If the above does not solve your problem, please ask again, and try to be as clear as possible about what, exactly, the problem is.

You need to have the Sony do the decoding and sent via (L)PCM to the Onkyo. See pg 44.
