Well originaly I just wanted a nice LCD for my Bedroom and was just going to run a basic speaker bar with it . But I desided that since i've got some HT Stough laying around from when I up graded my Down stairs main HT room why not hook everything up. I have to admit it sounds pretty good for what it is and beats the hec out of the stock speakers in the TV LOL .Anyway it consists of A Sammy Ln40a550 LCD, I almost ran my yamaha R-V1103 but its probably about 15 years old or so and decided to run a newer but more basic Yammy RxV361 I had that probably has newer audio formats. The speakers for my fronts are polk RT600i's and center cs245i, a esw12 sub and some Boses cubes for the SRB. It really sounds pretty good for what it is but I must admit I am a little spoiled now with my Downstairs HT Setup. Well heres some pics and you'll have to exuse the cardboard boxes I used for some of the speakers but it'll have to do for now lol I just used what I had tonight. BTW this all started by me deciding to pick up a digtial cable box for all the HD channels I was hooking up today so I figured I dig my old HT out of the closets and dust them off. Another sony blu-ray 550 is on the way to : )

Nice use of your extra equipment.

I especially like the boxes/stands. I’m packing to move right now so my stands are milk crates.

Cheers,
Dean

Thanks and ya it was hard finding boxes the same and wright Height ;) lol . Eventually I'll probably hit IKEA a discount furniture place in my area to see what I can get for the center and sb speakers . I just got finished watching 300 on HD cable probably 1080i and I have to admit it sounded pretty good for a throw together potpourri of HT equipment. The picture on that Sammy LCD was amazing for cable so I cant wait to run some blu-rays threw it :D P.S Milk crates were a great idea wish I had some ;)

Nice use of extra equipment. That's a good size room for a bedroom system, too. I've got a 40" Samsung in my bedroom but it's a much smaller room and the display looks huge.

Thanks and yes I thought the 40inch might be to small for the room but surprisingly enough it still looks big in there. The room has cathedral ceilings to which gives you the illusion of it being bigger than it is . Im really happy the way everything sounds to with just a throw together HT setup :)

"UPDATE"I Changed the SR Speakers and Dug up some Stands

Well I pulled these bose 301's from my main HT downstairs that I was originally going to replace with some Matching Paradigms but still saving up my Penny's. So I found some Acoustical Research P226ps speakers I had stored that are around 15 or 20 years old but new never used and hooked those up temporarily in my Main HT Room and they sound pretty good for a SR application I was supprised. Well heres some pics of the stands and Bose 301s I now have in place of cardboard stands and the Bose cubes . Looks and sounds even better now and still havent spent a dime on this Bedroom HT Setup as far as out of pocket cash recently lol Not including the SAMMY LCD of course
