Movies Made Better By Alcohol...

Does watching Three's Company on magic mushrooms qualify as a valid contribution to this thread? It was extra funny as I recall.

Army of Darkness is good without, but even better with. Add a few of good friends and a raucus time can ensue.

Doesn't everything look better under the influence? I've had some coyote dates...oh, never mind...but it did make me give up drinking and otherwise ingestion of reality altering substances.

So now most movies don't make any sense at all.

:D

Also last weekend I watched "Across The Universe" on Showtime or HBO (one of those) and even though I don't smoke the "erb" no more, I felt this movie would benefit highly (pun intended) if I were a wee bit baked.
Road Trip, Van Wilder and ALL National Lampoon Movies (especially the stinkers from the last 5 years like Dorm Daze) are best experienced under the influence of alcohol.

AtU is a Sony movie, so you likely saw it on Starz.

Classics like Animal House are good whether drunk or sober.

Oh d*mn yea - I laughed my *** off watching that one... and I was sober.

I seem to recall that Lost in Translation was very good after a quantity of booze (it just makes it even more chilled).

Clockwork Orange is great while drunk. :D :D

Notice, I never said it sucked sober, it's just a bit better with alke-hol :D

Beerfest anyone? After watching it in theaters with friends we immediately went to the liquor store and got stinko. We did this 2 nights in a row it had such a lasting effect.

When I bought it on DVD everyone had at least 6 cold ones with their names on it (I had 8, 4 Kilkenny and 4 Guiness, made black and Tans). Due to the huge amounts of "food" in those drinks I threw up before the movie was even over. Then I went to a party and to get in I needed to take 2 shots of Tequila.

I just picked up Beerfest on Blu Ray, so we'll probably have another booze required movie night for that. I guess I'll need to lift the ban for that evening.

I've never drunk, but I've found sleep deprivation to be equally helpful.

For example the funniest movie I ever saw was Scary Movie at around 3 am after a 20 hour day of moving my brother into his apartment.

one time i was with a group of jet-lagged people on a tour from LA and they laughed at all my jokes! So apparently something is needed to enjoy my humor.

Hm. I might not go to the extent of saying Transformers was downright awful, but I find it a lot more enjoyable after downing a few.
I personally love Transformers and thought the movie was fantastic. Maybe it's a generational thing. Though I bet it is better a little less sober.

Of course I am not a movie critic(unless they are messing with Star Trek or Stargate). I look at it like art which is why I can't understand why everyone is so critical of movies. But then again they probably can't understand why I am always messing with the picture and audio. I have a hard time sitting through movie because I'm always tweaking everything lol.

How about Tokyo Gore Police? I enjoyed the hell out of it after 4 beers and two glasses of tequila. :)

When I get hammered I start threads that get a rise out of people....the amount of beer I've consumed is directly proportionate to the responses and subsequant answers!

I think beer goes with any movie, but certain movies are way better with beer.

Napoleon Dynamite became watchable.

Personal favorites made better are Dazed and Confused and Office Space.

I was totally straight when I saw Office Space and I enjoyed it. I worked in an office like that.
