Happy New Year

As we look into "Year" we look at a block of time. We see 12 months, 52 weeks, 365 days, 8,760 hours, 525,600 minutes, 31,536,000 seconds. And all is a gift from God. We have done nothing to deserve it, earn it, or purchased it. Like the air we breathe, time comes to us as a part of life.

The gift of time is not ours alone. It is given equally to each person. Rich and poor, educated and ignorant, strong and weak—every man, woman and child has the same twenty-four hours every day.

Another important thing about time is that you cannot stop it. There is no way to slow it down, turn it off, or adjust it. Time marches on.

And you cannot bring back time. Once it is gone, it is gone. Yesterday is lost forever. If yesterday is lost, tomorrow is uncertain. We may look ahead at a full year’s block of time, but we really have no guarantee that we will experience any of it.

Obviously, time is one of our most precious possessions. We can waste it. We can worry over it. We can spend it on ourselves.

The new year is full of time. As the seconds tick away, will you be tossing time out the window, or will you make every minute count?

Maz, that is an interesting perspective. I could not agree more that time is of the essence. Just got done formulating a plan to pay off my 42" LCD as my 170's are now paid off. Of course, nothing goes fully as planned. As such, I put some flexibility into my plan of action. Only timee will tell if I planned well. ;);) Happy New Year to you my friend.

Cheers,

Phil

Huh?????????

I think I liked the simpler more secular Steven better. Existentialism always went over my head.

So, is time a companion or a predator? In any event a happy and prosperous New Year to Steven and my many AH friends.

It really is a neat picture. Here are a couple more you may enjoy. No photoshopping necessary to make these defensive flare drops look uber-cool.

Happy New Year to all:). Well it looks like this year starting off like last year, I'm working:(. Anybody else at work today:eek:
I worked a 12hour night shift last night and tonight.
So far this has been the worst Christmas/New year of my life and not expecting the New Year to get any better, sorry, but pretty bummed out.

You must work in a health care related field? My wife is a nurse and those 12hr shifts are far to common and usually reserved for people that work in heath care.
Regards, Bill :)

Happy New Year to all!!!:D I'm not off to a great start. I spent most of the day watching most all of my teams/pics lose while stuffing my face, further fattening my duff. I got mad at myself and went for a jog, though. Took the phone in case I fell over:eek:

Cool photos, Tomorrow! Nice post, Mazer. God is good all the time, and all the time God is good.:D

Some might see some religi-phobia in your comment. :D:D It looks more like a falcon to me.

It's nothing but flares, mtry.

Don't listen to him Mtry. That's just how angels choose to be seen. They're really everywhere. If you can get 'em to land on your speaker wires, your system will play 2X as loud. :)

Happy belated New Year everyone. Busy day yesterday getting packed. We leave for Florida today for a week of sun and the house of mouse. It should be fun with the kid.

Everyone stay out of trouble while I'm gone. (This means you Alex:eek::))

Yeah, but you're going to be down here getting into trouble with us. :D
I wish I had the free time but between Disney and Sea World there won't be much time for any other "sights".

I was born in Key West and would really like to get down there again but a week is just not enough time.

Cool. We have a condo that we rented but if we do it again for this purpose I would go with the on site resort. I've been there too many times to count but it should be refressing to be there with our five year old. Have a great trip as well. Thanks Bill.

He may be too far gone to save, Alex. He sees Christians everywhere trying to undermine the Pythagorean Theorem, Buddhists completely taking over quantum physics with their notions of infinite nothings (and even audio science with that "sound of one hand clapping" stuff), even Jews launching prayer assaults on American hotdog lovers with kosher Hebrew National dogs. :D;)

It isn't paranoia if they're really coming after you, Mtry.:D
