They look like either old JBL or Klipsch to me. $5 isn't a bad deal but an hour drive is a little far.....

I texted him and he told me to call him tomorrow, said he actually has a few pair of them. I'll post up what I find out.

Matt I live in Chandler, AZ and although the drive can be a pain (one hour to Tucson, dude slow down ) Those do look like older Klipsch or Acoustic Research to me. But do look forward to reading what you find out about them. If they are indeed older Klipsch (or derevitive of the klipschorn) then you may have just stumbled on the deal of the century.

I just called him, unfortunately he didn't have a lot of information about them. I have to take family up to the airport tomorrow and will probably pick them up anyways.

Well I checke AR webiste and they arent them. I checked Cizeck, KLH, Advent and Allison and they arent them also. So to me the could possibly be Klipsch (looks like a horn tweeter on the top right side) The speaker may have had the sticker Klipsch used to place on the back fall off, which is normal for speakers of that age. Klispch site is running way too slow for me to check them.

No matter what, would make a good redo project if the drivers are dried out. The cabinets look very good and the grill is still in good condition.

My best bet is they are one of the many knockoffs of the cornwalls. Like you said, may make for a nice restoration project.

those are old vox guitar cabs with celestion v60's

I doubt it.
1. Vox Guitar Cabs would probably be made out of thicker wood. (probably covered in vinyl or tweed.)
2. celestion v60's are 12" speakers. You can clearly see multiple smaller than 12" openings behind the mesh.
3. A vox would have the diamond weave mesh.
