Im installing a system, I would like my subwoofer in my ceiling or wall is this a good idea. Or should i use one that sits on the ground. Thanks

I would not put it in the ceiling. Tymphany have novel driver that you can build a cabinet for that will fit between the studs. I have no idea if it is any good.

I have no attic. What do u guys think i should do. I dont want to see a box on the ground. How could i find out proper placement.
Is speacker wire all that is involved for wiring a subwoof?

Place a sub in the room (listening position) if the walls are up and listen/test different locations around the room.

Otherwise the best bet is to wire many multiple locations (4+) or figure on running multiple subwoofers.

No, generally you need shielded RCA 50 or 75 ohm cable, if the sub is powered and most are. You also need a source of AC power for the sub.

I think you need to start off simply. I would forget fancy woofers in the ceiling and start with an in room sub.

You need to get your feet wet first.
