Another Center channel question

So I was shopping for cheap center channels for my friend and found some I like. How are the Definitive Center channels? My friend has some tower speakers he uses as left and right but I didn't know about the centers they made.

Are most of the definitives 3-way?

I am running a two way right now and it would be a serious upgrade.

If they sound great to you, then that's all that matters.

I love the sound of Definitive Technology speakers - L, R, C, S, & Subwoofer.

A lot of them are 3-way: Subwoofer, Midrange/woofer, Tweeter.

Tom Nousaine measured the CLR3000 center speaker for Sound & Vision Magazine: 28 Hz - 20 kHz +/- 3dB. That is pretty darn excellent measurement for any speaker, not just center speaker!

Audition, audition, audition.

Procenter 1000 good but CLRxxxxs even better :)

What about the Procenter 1000
I have Procenter100 (predecessor to the 1000) and upgraded to a CLR3000.
The Procenter 1000 will be very good ,but any of the CLR systems is better if you can swing the $$.

The Procenter100 is still active in my media room system and sounds very good!

Good Luck!

I don't know if I can afford the upper end, but didn't know if it was worthwhile to have the 1000.

If you have a center channel with a port in the rear how much clearance from the wall would it need if you were to mount it on the wall above your TV with some L brackets?
