A year ago, I replaced my Polk PSW-505 by a Velodyne DLS-5000R and love it! A few days ago, I decided to put back my Polk to pair my Velodyne and imho, the two playing together just sound BADASS!

Question:

Does it mather if I don't use 2 similar subs? Should I buy another DLS-5000R or a 4000R?

thanks!:)

i wouldnt recommend using two different subs ... but if you want to, best way is to co-locate both the subs.

why not get an upgrade from your existing subs instead of more of the same?

The way my room is made, I feel like 2 subs is the key. I think DLS-5000R is a good sub... two of them should kick ***!

What does co-locate mean? They are curently places of each side of my TV (in each corner of the front of the room)

to co-locate is to place them close to each other.

basically, if they are separate, the performance of your system would follow that of the inferior sub.

yes, i'm sure dual DLS-5000R's would kicka*s (i've had two myself) but there's a big subwoofer world out there :D

I can guaranty that since I added my Polk back, I definitly have more bass and power than my Velodyne alone.

I'll probably go for another DLS-5000R, it's not two expensive and it blows ***!

Would you have another suggestion?

how much will a single DLS-5000R cost you? where are you located?
