i would have to take the simpsons still. i grew up watching that show and have still never miss a new episode. family guy is funny but really immature. i would even take south park over that show any day

The Simpsons has declined significantly the past 10 years ( I do not even watch the newer episodes).

That is good to know. In which season did it start going downhill? (Put another way, what is the last season worth buying?)

Note: I do not know these things because it has been much more than 10 years since I last watched any broadcast TV.

I would say anything from season 1 - 10 (season 1 being the weekest of them all). Within that time frame of seasons there are some of the most classic episodes in cartoon history.

The censoring was the best part of the episode when Peter took on the FCC.

I am about halfway through season 1. If it is the weakest of the first 10, then I have some real treats ahead of me, because it is great!

(Not sure which season it is in, but the funniest episode I have seen is the one where the Simpsons visit Epcot Center. The electric car, in particular, is hi-freakin'-larious!!)
