Hi all,
I'm new to the forum and home equipment products. Please help me out. I'm looking to buy an used good sound quality and reliable receiver to push my dynaudio 2-ways. I'm planning to use the receiver for mainly music and some movies. I'm looking to spend about $400-$500 for it and looking at the rotel rsx-1055 on ebay, but the problem is that some people says rotel only last an average of 8 years or so, which is not good if I bought it used. What other option do I have? Please help. Thanks.

A lot of Dynaudio speakers present very difficult amplifier loads. You may well need amps better than in older used receivers to drive them, to say nothing of the fact that receivers become obsolete quickly because of changes in the HDCP codes. What model Dynaudio do you have?

It is nonsense that Rotel units only last eight years.

Thanks for taking time to advice me. I have dynaudio dm2/10 for front and planning another dynaudio dm2/7 for rear for movies. My original plan is to get a good playback unit source connects to a receiver for my speakers. I truly appreciate your help.

You can usually find good deals on a Denon AVR-5800 on EBAY. I'd sell you mine, but I'm not ready to part with it yet.
