Small Surrounds Question

I'm looking for a pair of small surrounds which need to mount against the back wall, not the sides. My couch is also against the back wall. I need something as small as possible without losing a ton of quality. Small meaning no bigger than 4" wide. Hopefully they won't be too deep either. They have to fit in a certain area.

From what I understand surrounds aren't all that crucial so I hope I can get a pair for around $100.

Any suggestions?

Surround quality depends on what exactly you are looking for. They are less important, but if you spend a decent amount of time listening to multichannel music for example, then you will want better ones. At $100 and less than 4" I think you are going to have a tough time getting even a decent quality speaker to meet both of those criteria.

Keep an eye out for the Polk R150. They can be had for around $40-$50, but I don't think they will meet your 4" requirement.

Mirage makes some small speakers that work well, but cost closer to $100 each. Take a look at the omnisat's or nano's. You might be able to find them on clearance for less.

The multichannel would be mostly for movies. I'm willing to spend more if it would make a huge difference for movies. I'm not real knowledgeable on surround sound in general.

I have three Usher S-520's for the front and center, well, will have in a week or so.
