shipped, these are all the same price ...
small footprint is most important

you guys have suggestions in the 150-200USD range? (ill need to add shipping costs)
switchable to 220v unless it's THAT much better of a subwoofer in the above price range.

None of the above. Buy something you don't have in 20s, or don't buy anything at all.

i actually don't have anything that will fit under the desk
unless i want to work with my legs on the seat :D

even the SB12 is pushing it in size (and its too overkill/expensive for the purpose)

i probably use the mains 40% of the time instead of the headphones

the PSW110 looks the nicest, the PSW111 is the smallest, the PDR8 looks like it can beat the PSW111

Thats an absolute steal! If you don't need anything under 35hz, go for it!!

Something tells me that the Energy isn't going to be available as a 220v model. For under the desk use, I'm kinda groovin' on the Polk with the metal grill that would stand up better to being accidentally kicked or hit with a chair, etc. That's where my vote will go, for that reason, but I think the Velodyne Impact Mini looks interesting for it's size. http://www.velodyne.com/products/specs/ImpactSpecs.html

I would diy a JL audio 10W3v2 in a 1.0cu.ft. sealed enclosure with an inexpensive 300 watt plate amplifier. Downfiring with a durable finish so it doubles as a foot rest.

i have a problem finding a cheap low pass crossover, if i do DIY, i'd like to use my mothballed A500's which have 360wpc at 8 and 180wpc at 4
