Amazon.com has the silver version of the Onkyo TX-SR506 for $180 (the black version is $214).

Looks like a pretty good price for this year's unit. The 505 was still going for around that price last month (and actually went up in price at Amazon about a week ago).

Yep, the 506 is just video pass-through.

The deal is gone, at least today. Black is still $213, but silver is now $230.

I just saw this thread, but I bought a black 506 for my mom and pops as they wont own a BR for at least another five years.
They will also never have 7 ch.
They dont even have the PDP yet. that is after this and the speakers I'm building for them.
I got it for $210 shipped from Amazon early last week.
Seemed like a great bang for buck.
