If you could only buy one Blu-ray movie what one would it be?

I want to buy a couple more and thought this would be a good question to find some good movies.

I see what you are getting at... tough question.

I think I will go with The Prestige.

I have at least double digit titles that are in the same category of top notch AV delivery, but I find the actual story to be quite dramatic and engrossing. Not that a lot of the others aren't, but this is a good combo of things listed.

Look throught the 5 star overall movies at www.highdefdigest.com - those that get top marks for not just picture and audio, but movie itself as well. Lots of great choices.

There are too many to narrow down to one, but I have a lot of favorites that I can watch over and over. I'd have to say Nightmare Before Christmas.

Ratatouille, no doubt.....
I was thinking Ratatouille, but I think that if I had to pick a single title, I would have to go with Cars over Ratatouille. The soundtrack for Cars just offers so much more opportunity to give my system a workout.

On the other hand, between the sales that pop up, and the discs that can be had on HDD that are used, you can get a fair number of titles around $15 a pop. I sure wouldn't settle for one disc to own.

Live Free or Die Hard
Ratatouille
Kung Fu Panda
No Country For Old Men

So far the Blu-ray I've been the most impressed with has been Iron Man. It had excellent SQ and PQ.

My number one desired Blu-ray title (yet to be announced for release) is the original Jurasic Park with no holds barred completely restored audio encoded as DTS-HD Master Audio and remastered to perfection in the glory of 1080p. Yes....I just pooped a little in my pants.

If anyone says Spiderman 3 I will personally kill them.;) (I'm dead serious, don't even think about it, don't type it into the message field at all. If you accidentally hit "post reply" without intending to do so, to bad, so sad)

Man, that's like telling someone that they can only eat one M&M. I have over 125 blu-ray movie files residing on my HP MSS being served up to a Popcorn Hour in full 1080P w/ mostly lossless audio (DTS-HD Master Audio, Dolby TrueHD, and PCM). All of them excellent movies. But I also agree with everyone else, one of the really good ones is Spiderman 3. :D

First, you have to go with the movie that you think is FUN to watch.

Sure, it's nice to have a movie that has a perfect Audio & Video Rating (5 stars). But if the movie is not very FUN to watch, then it's not that great in the end.

I think "Incredible Hulk" has great SQ/PQ. But more importantly, I think it is one FUN movie to watch.

And we all differ on our opinions regarding this "FUN" factor.

I only have 30 blu-ray titles to compare... but if I could only pick ONE movie to have on Blu-Ray, it would have to be Transformers. Picture quality is great, the movie is a blast to watch (I simply love the movie) and its the audio performance takes your breath away.

I watched Kung Fu Panda last night and I thought it was very good. Great sound, and the movie itself was much better than expected. I detest Seinfeld, so Bee Movie isn't even worth a look.

Spiderman 2 was decent, but 1 and 3 were very average, if not disappointing.
