I had some some rare spare time the other day and after re-dialing in my system I watched the HD-DVD of the Eagles Live From Melbourne Farewell 1 DTS-HD MASTER AUDIO track. I was just going to check out a track or two but ended up listening to the entire disk and several replays of select tracks. I'm not a big Eagles fan but this concert in DTS-HD audio is by far the best sounding DVD I have ever heard. Great performance by the Eagles and and just amazing sound.
I absolutely agree with you on your comments about the Eagles Farewell 1 HD DVD. I also watched and listened to this HD DVD (all the way through), this weekend and was very pleased when DTS HD Master Audio showed up on the pre-amp. The audio was fanstastic.

Just picked up Genesis - When in Rome DVD at Walmart. DTS sound is excellent, so much that I thought I was at the concert. In the beginning, as the fans were cheering and right before the music, I decided that it wasn't loud enough. I turned it up to a level that I thought was comfortable... boy was that a mistake! I got blown out of my chair when the music came on. Not sure now which dvd I like better for sound.. this one, or Eagles Farewell.
Good concert, video, and sound.

I just foiund the thread... love this stuff. I was just going to point out Fleetwood Mac the Dance. I just watched it again last night. I played with some of my differnent surround modes in my Pio Elite and found that ROCK/POP mode actually worked very well. It sounded very smooth and not overwhelming.

One that hasn't been mentioned... and I probably can figure out why... Duran Duran. I have this mulit-disc set that covers all their stuff. They ruled the world when I was a teenager. Some of you in your mid to late 30's like me will have to admit they're a guilty pleasure you hide from your friends and family.

Pink Floyd - Pulse. This is my all time fave. Some of these songs sound better than original recordings IMO

Phill Collins - Finally - The First Farewell Tour . He just so full of energy.

Dido - Live at Brixton Academy. Not a big Dido fan but she sounds awesome live.

I'll add another 2 cents as well. The Genesis set is awesome. Great sound in DTS. Also, I finally got the Porcupine Tree DVD. Wow, every good thing you've heard about that disc is true. What a performance. :)

Pink Floyd Pulse

Diana Krall
Phil Collins Finally Farewell Tour.
Is the Diana Krall an actually DVD of a concert? I haven't been able to find that.

I don't know why more groups, even the mainstream ones, don't do more of that.

Just listened to Mountain Heart - Road That Never Ends The Live Album, Great CD! had it cranked up fairly loud and once again I was glad I purchased my Axiom M80s, really sounded super and every instrument crystal clear from the deep notes on the stand up bass to the acoustic guitar chords and the mandolin fiddle and banjo as well as the vocals
