Hey guys, I finally managed to get my new
Denon 2808 CI and
Panasonic BD35 hooked up today. Lets just say it was a
LOT of work. Been messing with it all day. Needless to say, I am worn out!
Anyways, luckily everything seems to be working. This was my first time using
Audyssey. I am very impressed, but not sure I did it correctly. My plan is to run it again and get some more practice.
Here is what I have set-up. I have analog cable coming from the wall into my 42" LG lcd. I then have my new Panny BR player connected to my receiver via hdmi. The same holds true for my Toshiba A-3. Then, my new Denon is connected to me lcd via hdmi. I also used a "Y"-adaptor to connect both of my LFM-1Pluses. My front, center, and subs are connected to my Denon. Lastly, I have a digital co-axial cable coming from the output on my lcd to the input on my Denon for use when watching cable tv. Will the digital co-axial connection cause any trouble since both the Panny BR player and the Toshiba A-3 are connected to the Denon via hdmi and then to my lcd via hdmi?
Lastly, I wacthed the first part of
Underworld Evolution on BR today, and all it said on my Denon display was "Dolby-Digital". What happened to the new codecs? I must have done something wrong here, but can
NOT figure it out.
I must say, however, that the sound was amazing. Much more dynamic giving me a "
you are there" effect! I really really really like that effect when watching a movie.
Anyways, can any of you offer me some assistance? I could really use it. Thanks for your time.
Cheers,
Phil
