Aiming P.A. loudspeakers?

Does anybody out there know where I look to find audio laser pointers? The book, 'Sound Systems: Design and Optimization,' mentions it on pg. 357.

(I'll post up the link as soon as I get up to more than 5 posts! )

I just want to know if anybody knows what they are talking about and/or where to get one. I'm all about trying something new to aim my P.A. systems.

If I understand correctly, just get one of those cheap laser pointers and hold it on the side of your speaker cabinet.

Laser gaffed to the top of your cabinets will work as long as you make sure it is level. I used the V-Dosc for 8 years with a band I toured with and there were lasers bulit into the top cab. I believe www.toursupply.com might have a few gizmos as well...

yeah i've tried that... it works on some cases, but its hard to tell if the laser is straight on with the sweet spot of the speaker pattern. i'm just looking for an excuse to buy a new gadget! lol thanx tho
