The dvd is not in surround. However, PLII MUSIC does a fantastic job with this one. Once you hear it, you will be certain Jamie knows a thing or two about SQ.

It is a two dvd set. The people at the concert were pretty lucky. After you watch the first dvd, you pop-in the second one to find-out the concert has been exactly three hours and eleven minutes. You have another whole dvd to watch.
Believe me I fought for 5.1 but the band didn't want to pay for the surround setup to mix it. It could have been much better but it sounds pretty good for a 2 channel mix IMO.Thanks Zum

Dolby PL II works well with this 2 channel recording...

Geez Jamie they are good. Kinda reminds me of Sublime in a way.
Except for the fact that 311 kicks butt, and Sublime don't. One of my friends has a Sublime dvd. They don't even come close to the talent of 311.

No offense meant to your personal tastes. Just a musical fact.;)

They have a reggae vibe to them but you are correct they are way better player than Sublime. I do like 40oz to Freedom though from Sublime...
Thanks Zumbo

This is awesome Jamie!

Only exception I take is..... 311 better than Sublime? Pft. Maybe technically, although not in my experience, and especially not lyrically. I mean, I like 311 and I've been to the shows, but, compared to a Sublime concert? No way. Bradley could fake better lyrics on junk than 311 could even write for an album.

This pretty much sums it up:

I like 311s album "Music" from 94ish though, and they are fun, but, lets not compare them to Sublime.

The problem with Sublime is they were such junkies sometimes Brad had to sit down and play, or they had to sub out Bud because he was in rehab, etc. But, they rocked even with Kelly on the drums, kickass band. RIP Bradley.

40Oz is pure gold, Robbin' the Hood was recorded in a crackhouse but is still kickass, Brad had skills on that Korg, Sublime was beautiful.

That said, everyone is entitled to their opinion, so, whatever floats your boat.

I love Sublime. I did a Long Beach Allstars tour in 2001 with Bud and Kelly. Great guys and Brad was a genius ahead of his time. I said they 311 are better players, which they are but Sublime is Sublime.....:D

;)

What ever happened with LBDA? They put out that one album, did a tour and that was it? It was kind of a flop idea to begin with I guess because they didn't have a frontman... ...but those Barrington Levy tracks are AWESOME. Did you get to meet Barrington?

You do any work with Slightly Stoopid? I love those shows!

Sensi If you like reggae I have done plenty of work with a few Stars...Beres Hammond, Stephen Marley, Alpha Blondy, Culture, Isreal Vibes, Toots, Yellowman, and a few more I can't remember. I have a few buddys here in DC that are very high up on the Reggae train. Jim Fox who owns Lion and Fox studios which is where 1/2 of all the bands record and Doctor Dread who has a radioshow and has produced many Artists both here and in Jamaica. I also have quite a few of the shows I did recorded....:D
