Sarah Connor Kicks Heroes Butt!

I don't watch much prime time TV but two of the top shows I do watch are Sarah Conner and Heroes.

While I am a big fan of both shows, I have really gravitated towards the Sarah Conner Chronicles lately. I find myself watching the episode the day it records on my PVR while Hero sits there for sometimes 2 weeks before I get to it. Is it me or is there just too much convoluted stuff going on with Heroes? Nobody dies, they keep coming back and the show has just lost luster in my book.

In contrast, I am nutty about the Conners.

Your thoughts?

I like how one of your cons for Heroes is that nobody dies. :D Reminds me of G.I. Joe back in the 80's.

I've never seen either show. I watched the first part of the Heroes pilot, but never finished. I've considered renting it from Netflix. I'd watch the S.C. Chronicles, but I missed the first couple and think that I'd just be lost.

I do agree that something is just not as good with Heroes this year. It could be the overly convoluted plot, the addition of more new characters, the fact that it is just recycling the "save the world" plot. I am frustrated with it. The first 2 seasons were great and it really made me think that there could be a major network show that had great scifi plot, character development and not be campy.

I have not been watching SC chronicles but I will have to check it out.

Had to read the title of this thread twice. At first I thought it said:

"Sara Palin Kicks Hero's Butt"

I thought she might have opened a can of whoop @$$ on John McCain

I've got SCC on the DVR just in case I miss it. but you can watch all ofthe episodes on Fox's website. The story line is still good. I hope it takes at least few seasons before it "jumps the shark".

I'm also starting to watch Sanctuary on SciFi Channel.

Heroes has been by far my favorite TV shows in a long time. But I have to agree this season needs to pick up very quick. The first season blew my mind and I couldn't get enough of it since then. I have been getting into SCC a lot more this season, i picked up on it during the second season but rented the first. I got to say they show is good, but Heroes has much, much more potential it just needs to be brought out.

I'd still say Heroes owns.

season 1 of Heroes up to before the last episode was great! season 2 is just crap.

i thought the first season of SCC was a bit boring, but i really do watch it more promptly than Heroes too.

re: SCC
but now that they're trying to inject "drama" into the story - it's starting to get interesting again. (but i hate how they casted the lead singer from "garbage" to that role) looks like a comedy to me now. they really can't kill a terminator every other episode [btw, they've gotten really good at killing terminators]

You can watch old episodes on Fox as well as rent the entire first season on DVD.

+1^

Sanctuary seems really well produced and acted. (Two 'come-hither' hands up for the lovely Amanda Tapping! ;)) The CG's are first rate. This show may soon equal my affection for Stargate: Atlantis.

SCC still has something to prove to me. I sort of like it and DVR it, but am rapidly tiring of the whiny kid/future-savior-of-mankind character.
