sure eminem has the lyrics ... but i find that his rapping is totally not in tune with the beat.

Interesting, most find his delivery especially impressive... even poets. He has a talent for writing music that not only rhymes (linguistically or even with key), but pacing and rhythm in his words. I've even seen "Stan" compared to Shakespeare. He doesn't always rhyme, he uses a lot of more complex poetry techniques based off how words "sound" and also playing with pronunciations.

I'm not like a die-hard Eminem fan, but the guy is pretty talented and outside of rap fans goes highly underrated. I would say if people were to listen to one rap artist to get a taste, I would recommend Eminem to them.

A lot of stuffy poets would die to have a fifth of his poetry ability.

Hahaha, well music is very personal.

Seamus Heaney, the Nobel Prize-winning poet, praised Eminems lyrical prowess.

It's just a lot more complex than typical rap in how it works (or, doesn't work haha, I respect your opinion!) together. Like 'Attacks' and 'Xanax' don't rhyme, but its something to do with the keys of the words or something and also how he uses them. I'm over my head, I've read about it in the past.. so I'll stop now...

Oh I see what you mean. Yeah, his beats aren't anything special. Not like OutKast or something. I'm a big OutKast fan... siiiiccckkkkk beats.

Haha, "Apple Bottom Jeannns" ...Flo-Rida man! He is from my state. Not so big of a fan though.

OutKast, Immortal Technique, Pac, are a few that come to mind immediately as talented.
