I was there. Not sure if he was a forum member or not, but I am pretty sure he was. I don't remember him being an exhibitor. I DO remember him getting really, really dang excited . He was truly beaming. Seemed like a really cool guy. I have to say, I was pretty happy to see a guy like that win.

Not even sure he really knew what he won until Gene read the list of his winnings. Reminded me of the reactions they get on The Price Is Right.

Even after we told him what he won I don't think it really sunk in. Wait till all of the boxes start arriving at his home.

Yep, they won't be holding one till some time in the future. But I did hear that the next one will be in Clearwater, FL again.

I would have swore the guy who won was taking the Sencore course. Man, he really is one lucky dude!

Sorry but we're done hosting these type of events for quite some time. The consumer interest was underwhelming and economy isn't on our side to host such a complex and expensive event again.

Wow I am really suprised that the interest was not very high. I would have hoped with all the promotion around here it would of been a hit. I am truly sorry to hear that it wasn't a good turnout Gene. And I should of come down and supported the AH cause but I had to finish 2 projects with time constraints and could not get there.....

No problem. The economy wasn't on our side and most of the people I spoke to preferred the event to be held at Clearwater Beach instead of Disney. We took the gamble that Disney would have been preferred and we were wrong. Lesson learned but the event was still excellent IMO, though I am biased since I hosted it

Yes he is a nice guy and a regular joe. I took him around to look at some of the gear he had won. He was so happy.
