Just saw this forum room for the first time and though I would add to the many wonderful posts--so here is my little slice a AV bliss. Everything is pretty strait forward--the surrounds are mounted on the wall behind the sofa. I live in a loft, so this room is also the dinning/kitchen as well. Until the time in life comes for a home, I will have to dream of a dedicated space. So here you have it:

Nice! I like that paint and the artwork...in addition to the A/V gear, of course!

Thanks....but I don't follow the question as to how the floor sounds???? If you mean having all concrete floors, it does make things very 'live' and the bass is pretty insane...

The floor looks really cool. Is that an acid wash on the floor?

Well the look of the floor is probably a few things....this is a historic property and all the warehouses are over a hundred years old. So some of the look if probably from 'ware' when they were operating warehouses and the rest is yes, as you said, a, acid or some sort of stain on the floor...

Very nice! I am partial to contemporary design so you get two thumbs up from me. I also like the equipment selection.

But, where is the piano?

oh, sorry, different guy.:p

Ha ha...well until I finish school and settle down my instrument will stay at my parents home. As much as I would love to practice at home....it's not practical hauling around a $50,000 instrument...

And thank you for the comments on the setup....:)

I really like them alot....had them for about a year and a half now...they are ariculate and have a good sound-stage....some might say they are bright but that might also be my concrete room as well...overall though, I am very happy...

So I was wondering if anyone had a solution for my Ultra on the floor aside from one of those Auralex platforms as the sub is large enough as it is and it will take two of the Grammas to fit the PB13 on it. I really want to get this thing off that stupid towel but know that having on the concrete is looking for trouble both sonically and with everyone else that lives in the building....:eek:

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated...

If you find a solution that is cost effective, you would be a very rich man. The problem with bass frequencies is that they travel. And, nothing really effects this. No amount of isolation will solve this problem. Bass is what it is and either you live with it or move.
