I have to admit, I'm not up to speed on this whole DRM thing... never really gave it a whole lot of thought until just now. I realized I had downloaded a ton of music from MSN music awhile back ago... probably a $200 worth. I just found the folder and tried to play it and got this:

A Windows Media Digital Rights Management (DRM) component encountered a problem. If you are trying to use a file that you obtained from an online store, try going to the online store and getting the appropriate usage rights.
MSN Music no longer exists. Does this really mean I cannot ever use these files again? I'm was trying to play them on media player.

The MSN site says I can stil use them, but doesn't really tell me how. What a cluster.

If you can't figure out another way, you could always burn them to disc and then upload them to WMP.

I guess that's what I'll do. The site say I can use them Windows Media Player, so I don't know what the issue is. I used to download from them because you get the lossless files. The DRM thing blows. Now I know what everyone's been griping about.

That's why I get all my music from Amazon now, if not bought in store.;)
