Depends on how many rep points and posts the person has that gives the scales. I would have done that for you, but I got the "You've given out too much..." message this morning, so I gotta recharge.

Had my pooch not been in such a hurry to get out the door, I would have just thanked your other posts. Dave got you all set up, though! Far more points than my thanks would have given you, for sure.

The more thanks you receive, either as a thanked post or from the scales, the more green chicklets you will receive.

When giving thanks, a thanked post will give the recipient 3 points and the scales will give a variable number of points according to your status but I'm not sure of the exact formula. I'll add to your total for your recent contributions. You can view your feedback status on the user cp page.

If you click on your own scales on one of your own posts you will see a record of the points rec'd for that post whether it be thanks or scale rep as opposed to the latest 5 feedback to be found in the User CP which takes into account all of your posts. That make sense?

And no, I wasn't trying to give myself points. Really!

I'm just waiting to recharge my scales. I think giving out 10 thanks in a 24 hour period knocks out your ability to give the big scale rep points out. Giving 10 scale reps out in a 24 hour period also knocks out your ability to give out scale rep. Or something like that.
