I am looking into either buying 1 of the new SVS PB12-Plus. Or 2 of the SVS PB12-NSD's. Or 2 of the SVS 20-39 PCi's. Would you recommend The single more expensive subwoofer or 2 of the cheaper subs? Also, If I should go for the 2 cheaper subs should i go with the cylinder sub or box sub?

Are you leaning one way or another? I honestly don't think that you could go wrong either way.

Cylinder versus box is a personal decision, IMO. After months of thought, I went with the cylinder. The two have been discussed here a decent amount, and SVS has a good comparison of the two here.

Two versus one...tough choice. Some people here swear by multiple subwoofers. If it was me, I'd go for one of the new ones. But, I like getting the latest and greatest, and I also don't have room for two right now.

Hey, three subs might not be the best situation, but put the utility knife away, Mike! It's just not worth it. :D J/K.

I'd also lean towards one Ultra versus two of the less expensive subs. I would pick the new PC12-Plus over a PC13-Ultra at the moment, though, if it was between those two - just because the PC12-Plus is $500 cheaper with the pre-order.

I recommend you e-mail Tom or Ron at SVS and ask their opinion. They will not steer you wrong, or up sell you. Give them your listening habits, and room dimensions.

The single expensive sub.If your not happy with the over head you still have room for more. 2 lesser subs and if your not happy with the over head you may not have room for more. You will end up like this http://i45.photobucket.com/albums/f98/ironmike86/setup/DSC06121.jpg
One Svs Ultra probably would be better for the $$
what he said ^

you can always add a second to a decent sub, you can't add to cheaper subs you already have two of.

i'd go for the Ultra OR your other choice of PB12Plus (the new one)

I'm my last post I meant I could have bought an Ultra instead of the 3 subs I bought for the $$. The ultra wasn't out yet but you get my point. The Plus isn't out yet so it is a hard choice. If you interested in the cylinder the 2 maybe enough I didn't see room size? if you have a large room I would pre order the Pc12 plus. Ask Svs which would work better for your room. If you have a large room you will have space to add another in the future. But Under 2,000^3 Two current cylinders would probably rock that room at a discount also. I sit 6 ft from my subs so I think it will do for me. Your setting, room size and listening habits all matter. Heck one sub maybe enough for you?.........For a month then you will want MORE :)
