Is this going to turn into a pissing/trolling match again? If so - ridiculous!

GTO, you didn't listen to what anyone said dude. What's the deal? Are you just craving attention or are you serious here?

As I said earlier, the Onkyo 8 series seems to get better reviews than the 9 series. The 875 would have been a better choice based on build quality, the better power supply and the better DAC's. I told you that but you just ignored it. So, are you going to ignore the suggestions of everyone and just continue to post questions about every sub you can find locally, or are you going to listen? There are some very intelligent people here (not talking about myself ), so please listen to what they have to say. Don't waste their time!

Sorry for being harsh, but the last thread you started was w HUGE waste of time.

If you are serious, SLOW DOWN, and please post your budget for the subwoofer (only the subwoofer). Subwoofers are less subjective than speakers, though they are dependent on your room. With that said, how big is your room?

In my opinion the best subwoofer companies are SVS, HSU, AV123, Epik, JL Audio and Elemental Designs. Anything from those guys will be nicer than something found at Best Buy or Circuit City.

I certainly hope I didn't just waste my time...

You picked some excellent speakers now you need an excellent sub. The SVS PB13-Ultra that mazersteven suggested is the one. It is a very highly regarded subwoofer in the audiophile community. If you get the Swans and the SVS PB13-Ultra you will have an amazing setup and your own piece of high end:).

If the guy wants help, and is willing to listen then fine. But posts like this just add to the problem.

The best way is to give no attention.

You are right. I was sick of the same questions throughout the 2 threads.I will opt out of this one and sorry for the useless post on that four letter word...

Very good list. However, I would also like to add Outlaw Audio. Hope you don't mind. ;);)

Cheers,

I don't know if it was from my recommendation on the thread or the PM's from another member. But I will take credit for the Swans. :D

Well, if he gets the SV sub you recommended, with the Swans you recommended, he will certainly blow my set-up away. And, in the beginning, he wasn't going to blow away an Acoustimass.

Heck, if he gets any sub recommended in this thread he is going to smoke my set-up.
