hey guys. i have 2 questions for u
1. Can a 12' * 16' living room accommodate a 7.1 setup or should i keep it a 5.1? i have psb image T55s and C60 up front and energy c-r3s as surrounds. i also have a pair of image B 15s that i could use as rear surrounds.

2. i also have in storage a pair of psb cw60r in-ceiling speakers. could these be used instead of the B15s with the same effect?
i could use the B15s along with my alpha B1's in my computer room.

I want the best setup for my living room. thanks for any advice

Why don't you experiment with 7.1, and see if you like how it sounds?

If you have the speakers, and can position them in the proper place. Nothing even says placement has to be perfect. Then why not try it out? Nothing to lose. JMO

Cool maser; but what about the in-ceilings vs the bookshelfs for rears?

You stated you wanted the "best" for the livingroom. Better performance should be had using the bookshelf speakers.

But if you want to use them in another room. Nothing is written in stone. Go with the in-ceilings.
