UPDATE Part 2!
Well, I am now in possession of my Ascends speakers. In fact, they arrived in (2) boxes-one of which was
huge. It also seemed to weigh a ton. I was really surprised with the size of the boxes, as well as, the weight of them. My guess is, you could have dropped them off the
Empire State Bldg. and it still would not have damaged them.

Way to go Ascend! The speakers were all doubled boxed and packed very well. Needless to say, they all arrived fully intact.
I managed to get the CMT-340's out of their boxes and set-up into my system. I basically just ran the YPAO and double-checked my levels with my RS SPL meter. To be honest, I did not try to over analyze them, but rather attempt to notice any differences between them and my Polks. There were a few things I noticed right off the top. Here is what I have found thus far:
The 340's mains are
NOT bright nor are they forward sounding, but yet very detailed. Everything sounds very realistic to where I feel like the artist is right there in my little ht room. Furthermore, everything seems to be balanced and full as well as being very controlled. There is no brightness, harshness, honkiness, and thinness. I have to say that I am very impressed with them. The 340-center is just very nice. It blends seamlessly with the 340-mains. One way to describe it as to think of
one big wall of sound. Anyways, that is all I have for now folks as I am really not feeling well. Lastly, just want to say thanks to David Fabrikant for designing such an awesome set of speakers. Here are a few pics for any of you that is interested.
Cheers,
Phil
