Well, people once again I went to go see a movie. This time I chose Lakeview Terrace starring my absolute favorite actor Samual L. Jackson. This movie was excellent for the most part, but thought the ending could had been better.....go figure right?:rolleyes: Once again, Samual L. Jackson plays such a convincing role that shows off his superb acting abilities. This is a must see if you like Samual L. Jackson. Great story, great acting all provide for a very good movie. Enjoy!

Cheers,

Phil

No Mark. However, Samuel L. Jackson seemed to disappear in his role. It was very realistic and oh so believable. It is quite obvious to me that he is very intelligent. Further, Samuel also has an ability to adapt to different scenarios that is like no other. I would assume that he does a lot of research on what really needs to be done with making his role so believable.:cool:

Don't get me wrong, I dig him and even like Snakes on a Plane for the campiness of it. Did you see Black Snake Moan? Oooops....sorry, Christina Ricci in underwear most of the movie derailed my entire post.....nevermind.

You know, what is interesting is that these two are my absolute favorites. I just find their acting abilities to be amazing. I also will throw in Kevin Spacey. There are many others, but imho these (3)-Jackson, Freeman, and Spacey stand out from the crowd. Pacino and DeNeiro also need to be mentioned as does Robert Downey Jr. and Gary Oldman. I could go on and on, but I am sure you get the idea. ;);) In short, I really like actors/actresses that totally disappear in their roles thus making it so believable. To me, that is what it is all about. The ability to adapt and diversify are paramount in doing just that. Of these mentioned, they are among the best, if not the best of the best. Hope all is well my friend.

Cheers,

Phil

Mark, I did see Black Snake Moan. It is yet another example of Jackson' superb acting abilities. I also need to mention, that as you alluded to-Christina Ricci in her underwear didn't hurt. ;);) Lets just say she has all the right curves. :p:p As far as Snakes On A Plane goes, I have no idea what Jackson was thinking when he done that one.:eek: It left me with that "WTF" feeling if you know what I mean. :D:D

Yea, but it wasn't meant to be anything but what it was. The pre-internet hype created over the movie was perfect and might have been why it actually made some money.

I like DeNiro but he's done a ton of horrible movies, that far outweigh his golden moments.

Pacino....meh, neither here nor there but he has a better track record. Heat is just plain awesome and I like Michael Mann...too bad Miami Vice stunk.

Spacey can be hit or miss but when the role is right....GGGR, Usual Suspects, that Helen Hunt...kid dying movie??? Yea, he's alright in my book.

RDJr...the dude has uber potential and might be in the best part of his career yet right now. He's made some duds but that was mostly pre/post/post/post drug BS. He is at the cusp of his edge right now and I hope he carries on.

Gary Oldman is this bomb. Between Dracula, Romeo is Bleeding and The Professional.....SOLD.

Very interesting perspective Mark. At times, I guess many fine actors make a bad movie here and there. Sometimes, the risks pay off and sometimes they don't. This, of course, is true for many things in life and not just acting. No venture no gain I always say. ;);) Thanks for posting my friend.

Same here Mark. We all live and learn. Well, at least most of us anyways....LOL!!!!!:rolleyes: However, some never seem to. I admit I make mistakes, but do put forth an effort to learn from there. Too bad I can't say the same about both of my failed marriages.:eek:
