Well the big premier is back tonight. Finally a reason to watch TV. Anyone else into this show?

From what I understand the villians are going to be in the forefront in the coming episodes. I have not done too much research so most of it will be a suprise.:D

I've gotten out of the habit of watching TV. I got into Heroes after seeing a marathon on the Sci-Fi channel at my parents' house. I ended up getting the first two seasons on DVD. I'm going to try to follow the show as it is broadcast since I'm caught up. If that doesn't work out, I'll just wait for the DVDs to come out next year.

Yes, we watch it. 3 hours tonight? Or the first hour is a recap and what is to come?

I'm very excited :) about the villians having more of a role this season....emphasis on the mroe than one tense. They better not disappoint like the subsequent seasons of Lost.

That was pretty good. Always twisting and turning. It would be nice to not know the ending all the time though. On a unrelated note the next House Episode looks very good.

Frankly after never being wowed by season 1 and underwhelmed by season 2 (never finished it) I'm not sure I'm going to bother coming back to watch this season.

I have watched house (in fact it's on right now), fun show but it isn't quite like watching other shows which are more story driven.

What do you mean by that? There is a definite story in House...

BTW, don't spoil it for me, it doesn't air for another 1:15 minutes...

There's a story in house but it's less significant to the show.

Mmmmmm no I disagree. They don't SHOVE personal crap down your throat, but he story is there. They have complex, mysterious characters, and break them down over time and then they change (in the case of Wilson). I've seen every episode more times then you can count with your hands. ;) There story is a perfect example of "Less is More".

Well we can agree to disagree. I think House doesn't rely on a strong background story as much as some other shows. That makes it easier for anyone to jump in to though. I'm not saying it doesn't have a background/underlying story which is what you seem to think I'm saying.

Well I think it has a clear background story which is fairly strong, but as I said, I don't think it relies on it as much on an episode-to-episode basis as other shows.

For the most part it's not a show where each episode focuses chiefly on some long/overarching primary story in my view. That's part of what I meant earlier, House episodes stand on their own better than other shows which are more dependent on the story to keep you involved. You could watch House and enjoy it without ever paying attention to the story, like a bunch of entertaining short stories that are part of a collection which tells a larger story. Some other shows though are more like a novel where each episode is a chapter (or a novel in a series), you can't as easily appreciate an individual episode without appreciating the show as a whole.

House is a fun show, but it isn't one that really pulls me in the same way as shows that unfold like a novel. At the same time it's the kind of show I like to kick back and relax and turn off my brain to watch. The characters are great, their interactions are great, so that's what really pulls you in most of the time. Sometimes there are episodes that deal more with the underlying/background story but most of them can stand well on their own.

That's better. Only took you like 5 posts to get that out. How long have you been following House?

Well I didn't think I'd have to elaborate so much, but you decided to get nitpicky with my original post! Your interpretation of it was all wrong! :D I think maybe you read my original comment as though I were saying it had a bad story or something, which is not implied at all. Nothing really changed with what I was saying, except the length haha

I can't recall how long I've been following house. Long enough? Haha.

I ask because if you don't follow it completely you miss the small parts of the underlying story, and it can skew your perception of what's really going on.
